Shift light is something nice to have on the dashboard of your car, SUV or bike. It looks cool and tell you which gear you are on. One thing for sure, it always attract the attention of your mates.

There are programmable gear shift light that tracks vehicle speed and give you speed limit warnings – both on upper and lower ends on each gear. In other words, the shift light tells you it is time to change gear.

The shift light tracks rpm and specific colour light blinks according to your programming the system. Connected to the tachometer, speedometer, crank pickup, etc, it is programmable in more than a dozen ways. You can program and reprogram the shift light for track and street use. It performs nice in both occasions too.

Program the shift light to flash intermittently while the vehicle moves on the wrong gear and program the light to stay steady when the vehicle is in the right gear and on the right speed. This performs better than programming the light to steady.

Shift light can come with LED, for that special colour effects. You also have LCD panel that displays the gear your vehicle is on. Shift light is not just a cool addition to the dashboard, but also a cleverly designed tool that provides timely help.

Installing one can be a bit technical. Since you are sporty and techie at the same time it can be a great DIY project you can undertake. Otherwise, get an expert mechanic do the installation for you.
